It’s currently 2 am and I’m just finishing up scripting the first episode. There’s still hours of transcribing to do…and I’m pretty exhausted… but still feeling that overall excitement that this is really happening.
While scripting episode #1, I was just looking back on some posts from last year at this time…and it’s pretty amazing to see how this show went from an idea to reality.
I also just wanted to share this great video clip I posted last year, that’s just fantastic.
Sleep is awesome…but apparently overrated if you want to be successful.
Speaking of lack of sleep, over the last few days I’ve had the privilege of working on George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight’s show as a PA/assisting the audience coordinator, and have seen first hand what it takes to make a successful show. George and the team pretty much haven’t slept in days. And somehow they’re managing to do incredible thought provoking interviews (at it’s peak up to 8 interviews a day!) with celebs, while managing TIFF duties and the show launch party. They’re in the office before 9 and out practically 12 hours later. And that’s daily. And that’s what it takes to be successful. It’s incredible to see, and even more exciting to be a part of it…even if it’s just this week.
On that note…if you want to be in the audience for a show taping this week..email Tim at georgetickets@cbc.ca and check out www.strombo.com for more deets!
